Letters of Love

The “Player Passports” are a very important part of the Masiphumelele Play to Learn Lab. This is where each child would be recording some of their thoughts about the classes each week.

During the first week of Phase 1 I forgot Grade 6 Cs  Player Passports at  the office. Eager to get the children into the routine of recording their Play to Learn Lab experiences, I gave them each a blank sheet of paper. I asked them each to write down one thing they felt about their time at the Lab. Below are a few of my favourite entries:

Getting the kids to write these letters on blank pages lead me to make a very important observation: these kids had a lot to say! It was clear that the space provided in the passports for logging each week was far too small. When designing the Player Passports for Phase 2 of the Play to Learn Lab I would like to allow a full A5 page to log each days activities.

Would you like a personalised hand-written letter from one of the children in the Play to Learn Lab? We’re offering you beautiful letters of appreciation as rewards for supporting our crowd funding campaign on Thundafund. Visit www.thundafund.com/learnlab to get involved.
